What Vine is not
No real money
Vine is a simulator. It cannot see or touch a real bank, card, or brokerage.
No ads
Zero advertising inside the kids’ app. Ever.
No cross-app tracking
No advertising IDs. No sale of your child’s data. No marketing profiles.
No social features
No messaging, no comments, no other-user interaction — nothing for a stranger to reach your kid through.
What Vine collects from your child
Their name
Optional — whatever they type at setup, or what comes from Google sign-in.
An age range
“7–9”, “10–12”, or “13–17”. Never an exact birthdate.
An email for sign-in
So progress syncs across their phone and the web.
Their practice activity
Simulated portfolio, lessons finished, any savings goal. All practice, no real money.

You set it up. Vine won’t start without you.
When an under-13 age range is chosen at setup, Vine requires a parent or guardian to enter their own name and email and give explicit consent before we save your child’s profile. We store that consent with a server timestamp as an immutable audit record — you can see it on the Account screen anytime.
Because Vine never shares children’s data with third parties and shows no ads inside the kids’ app, we treat this as self-asserted parental consent; an email-confirmation step to reach the FTC-recognized “email plus” standard is in progress.
Your rights as a parent
Review
Everything is visible inside the app. The Account tab shows exactly whose consent is on file and when it was given.
Delete
Account → Delete account permanently erases the account and all their data. Or email us and we’ll handle it within 7 days.
Withdraw consent
Email vineteam@vineteach.com. We stop any further collection and delete what we have.
Refuse collection
Want to keep the account but pause data collection? Just tell us. We’ll do it.
